AMR-100/200 Internet testing during May

In an effort to qualify the robustness of local Internet provision to connected station AMR receivers we’ll be remotely conducting quality evaluations of selected groups of AMR-100/200 units during the month of May, 2024. The development of our enhanced terrestrial transmission service, SvI (Satellite via Internet), and the recent introduction of satellite-to-SvI fail-over capability to both receiver platforms allows the expanded ability to script & monitor change-over processes in the background without affecting real-time audio or file delivery. This new scripting process was first used to eliminate live audio issues by moving satellite receivers over to SvI during the recent spring satellite sun transit period in late February - early March. As was the case during the sun transit effort, we’re not expecting that your AMR’s live audio or file delivery operations will be negatively affected.

In general, we’ll be doing our testing during normal business hours of Tuesdays thru Thursdays during May with actual time periods not yet firmly established. As more details are available we’ll post them here in the “alerts” system. Again, we’re not expecting that you’ll experience any problems during the testing - but if issues do surface please call our 24 hour help desk at 1-877-262-6728 (1-877-AMBOS2U) or email support@amb-os.com.
